Affordable Professional Makeup Brush Kits?
I bought a cheap 40 dollar brush set off of coastalscents about a year and a half ago.Everybody told me they were great, the reviews were great, but they shed! I cared for them properly, cleaned them, loved them, and though they were at least not drugstore cheap, they were still kinda cheap.
I’m thinking of just getting the 8 piece mac set off of ebay and unless anyone knows of a dependable cheap brand, I’m just replacing my powder, blush, foundation and concealer through the mac kit and keeping some of the cheap eyeshadow brushes because they worked just fine.
Mac does not make an 8-piece brush set. Never buy brushes off ebay, they are most likely fake.
Sigma makes affordable MAC dupes for cheap. They have two popular ones: The Professional (69.00) and Professional Premium brushes ($149.00). The premium was sold out, but I just got an email today that they’re back in stock. It doesn’t show it on the site yet because I guess only people who signed up for the email can see it. But wait until after April 7, and it’ll be made public.
Both sets are good, but they contain different brushes. The Professional set contains 12 basic brushes like the 150, 190, 194, 234, 266, 224, 187 (which are the powder, foundatino, concealer, eyeshadow, angle liner/brow, blending, and duo fibre), and a few more, and the Premium contains 15 brushes that are not essential, but still good. I don’t own any because I own most of the MAC ones, but I got the Premium for my sister, and they’re pretty similar.
